June 2016 Update: Over memorial day weekend, about 20 community members from Jemez, Regina, and Albuquerque joined the Bodhi for a weeding, planting, and watering extravaganza. The event included a special Vietnamese lunch prepared by our friends from Albuquerque, as well as live music from our local musicians Peter and Bob on Saturday afternoon. We also are happy to report that Walter from Regina will be joining in at the Jemez Springs Farmer’s Market (starting Saturday, June 11) with fresh produce from his farm. Bodhi will also be selling homemade yogurt, jam, and fresh garden produce at the Farmer’s Market. We look forward to seeing you there!
The Bodhi Community Vegetable Garden planning group met early 2016:
The garden is always a work in progress. We use organic materials, no chemical sprays or pesticides, and we have our own worm farm! In traditional Asian Buddhist centers, the community supports the monastics. We depend on community members and WWOOFers, so come by and lend a hand!
