Bodhi
Manda Zen Center is a non-profit, religious organization. In the
tradition of Zen monasteries, it relies on donations to sustain
its activities. Without the interest and support of its members,
Bodhi Manda Zen Center would not be possible.
The
purpose of the membership program is to provide an opportunity for
people outside the center to make a connection with Bodhi Manda
Zen Center. Membership is a way to become part of a place where
one can study, first-hand, Joshu Roshi's unique style of Zen. If
you have come to Bodhi Manda and appreciate the atmosphere that
the volunteer staff and ordained people create, this is a way to
be a part of that environment and ensure its continuation.
Dues
are applied to the daily overhead that the Center has in serving
the public and offering a different kind of place in today's society:
insurance, utilities, auto maintenance, building materials, and
so on. Members are recognized as such and receive discounts for
various functions from Sesshins to use of the motels.
There
are several levels of membership involvement:
- Supporting member - $600 annually
- General
member - $150 annually
- Associate
- $75 annually (for dues paying members of another Rinzai-ji Center)
One-time
general donations, in any amount, are always welcome. To
make a donation, please send it to:
