A new crew of WWOOFers arrived to work on a crop of delicious fruits and vegetables. They focused on reinvigorating dormant portions of the grounds to grow strawberries, onions, leeks, spinach and other foods. This group of volunteers has also been participating in daily meditation practice, learning about the Rinzai Zen Buddhist tradition.
WOOFers who came to the Bodhi Manda Zen Center in March 2017 prepared the soil of a future strawberry garden. Some of the center’s five chickens provide helpful pecks:
WOOFers rebuilt the hoop house containing tomato plants after the wind took it apart.
