Teishin Eunice Tropper’s Passing Beyond

Dear Friends,

Born on January 26,1929, our beloved elder nun Teishin Eunice Tropper passed beyond peacefully in the Anna Kaseman Hospice Care at 9:16 am. She was walking her 88th year.

While we are saddened at the loss of a friend and dharma sister, who many considered to be a guiding light in their life, we are comforted at her great release and safe passage as she left behind the suffering of her physical life.
She will always be looking onto this beautiful Jemez valley.

Our Buddhist Tradition honors 49 days of vigil and there will be a memorial service at Bodhi Manda Zen Center on Friday November 18th at 9:16am. Please email or contact Bodhi Manda at 575-829-3854

Cynthia Avishay, Teishin’s daughter, and her family are planning a Spring trip to New Mexico for a Memorial Service and disposition of ashes. Details forthcoming.

Bodhi Manda has received some donations to plant a tree in Teishin’s name in the Peace and Reconciliation garden where the river of compassion flows. If you wish to assist please let us know.
